the opening scene of Seven focuses on Morgan freeman's character getting ready for work,he seems to take his time getting ready and everything has a certain place which could suggest he likes everything just so, he is seen putting on a suit which suggests to the audience he is in a job with high importance.
As the scene progresses we see Morgan Freeman go into an flat were a murder investigation of a man is taking place indicating that Morgan Freeman is playing the part of a detective of some sort, This gives us an idea as too what the basis of this film is going to be about; during this scene we meet two more characters one of which is played by Brad Pitt the way Brad Pitt is introduced the audience can immediately see the difference in the two characters. For example Morgan Freeman's character seems calm and on top of things and he is very well set out in regard to what he is wearing nothing is out of place, however Brad Pitt's character is totally different. Brad Pitts character seems cocky and the outfit he is wearing is all.
As we move to the opening credits the colour scheme are black white and red the these colours are often used because they catch peoples eyes and they make more of an impact. It is during the credits we get introduced to the third main character, we don't see his face which tells us he is the "killer" all you do see of the killer is their hands cutting out things and putting them into a book and it is this that keeps the audience watching because we want to know what that book means.

Media Manifesto
My names Adam Matthew and i am doing A level media, i would describe myself as a hard working student and when my mind is set on something i will work my hardest to achieve it.
I am happy with my GCSE results and i think i did better than i thought i would i got 10 A-Cs. My results showed me that if i work hard a can achieve good grades and if i focus ever harder i can achieve the best of my abilities.
I choose media studies for A level because i wanted to do it for my GCSE's but i did get to do it. i think that media studies as a subject that i will enjoy it. i know that there is a lot of writting and you need a good understanding in the subject but i think i will be good at it because when i focus of writing I'm not bad at it as well as i do have interest in media such as T.V, films, music and news.
my targets for this year are much higher that they were in year 11 because i know i have the knowledge and the determination to achieve grades much higher than i got in year 11. i think media will also help my in my future because it will help me to analise the media and to be able to apretiate the details that go into films andd music.
